Once selected, the combinations you have chosen can be saved in up to 30 "Drum Kits" which you can call up without having to select each drum individually. The snare pad is capable of reproducing rim shots, just like an acoustic drum! Even the cymbal pads use 2-tone technology ie. the cymbal rim and crest can be assigned different sounds. The Choke function allows you to silence the cymbal by hand just like an acoustic cymbal! An interesting detail for lovers of harder sounds: the bass drum pad of the DD-506 is the first in the FAME family, that is compatible with double bass!
