The Vox AC2 Rhythm Bass is a compact practice combo for electric bass that allows you to play relaxed bass at home or on the go. With two watts of power and two 3" speakers, the small bass amp delivers a surprisingly full-bodied bass tone with three different sound modes for variability. To make practicing fun, the Vox AC2 Rhythm Bass features an integrated drum computer with 81 rhythm patterns from 9 genres, as well as five of the most popular bass effects, including chorus and reverb. A headphone connection is also provided for silent bass playing.
I was a bit skeptical buying this but I needed something small that I could take on the go. Well let me tell you this amp is like a badger. Small, cute but has some serious playing power. The sound is great and it can reach great volumes. It's small enough to fit in the pocket of my case and weighs less than my tab notebook
I bought this as a travel amp for my Steinberger.
Out of the box it looks like a plastic toy to be honest.
Controls are very limited but I knew that when I purchased it but figures these type of amps can't do much to shape the speaker sound anyway, However the speaker sound is poor with no Bass at all. The sound is better via headphones but I already have a vox amplug. This does not really fill my needs & I would return it but Music Store do not answer my mails and the item does not appear in my 'return items' folder so it looks like ebay is my best option. My advice would be to go for the Pathfinder 10 Bass or Blackstar Fly3 alternatives for similar money.
