Yamaha P-515 is a digital piano with the high-quality sounds of the famous Yamaha CFX concert grand and the Vienna Bösendorfer Imperial grand. It is equipped with a number of advanced technologies and features that make this instrument a great sounding digital piano with a particularly natural playing feel. It is suitable for beginners and advanced players looking for the high-quality sound of world-famous concert grand pianos combined with a chic design and a range of advanced features.
Two advanced technologies, Binaural Sampling and Stereophonic Optimizer, produce an exceptionally natural sound even when using headphones. With the improved Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), the P-515 calculates the sound and vibration behavior of the strings in real time, depending on the stroke and position of the 88 keys. The technology also calculates the so-called aliquot resonance of the upper octaves and the soundboard, rim and grand piano frame. The result is an outstandingly detailed and natural sound that gives you the feeling of playing the actual concert grand.
The P-515 features 15W + 5W amplifiers and a 2-way speaker system that delivers an impressive, authentic piano experience with amazing clarity.
The Twisted Flare Port provides a clear and precise bass sound. The fluted, slightly twisted shape causes vortices of air to dissolve at the edges of the opening, creating a much more harmonious airflow that produces fewer side-sounds that are not part of the actual sound and that can be reproduced more precisely and accurately at low frequencies.
The P-515's NWX keyboard has keys made of the highest quality wood elements and covered with synthetic ivory. The black keys have synthetic ebony top layers. For a natural playing feel, the keyboard simulates the pressure point known from concert grand pianos.
With the Piano Room function, you can create an individual sound for every playing situation. For this, parameters such as lid position, string resonance, damper resonance and touch dynamics can be set as desired. Further effects like reverb or chorus can be used additionally.
With the P-515's forty different drum and bass rhythms, songs can be accompanied in numerous musical styles. The Rhythm Playback function can be used for simple practice lessons, jam sessions or live accompaniment.
With the "Smart Pianist" App for iOS you can control the numerous functions of the P-515 via the iOS device. Sound settings, rhythms and much more can be selected and controlled directly on the touch screen. The smart pianist can even access the songs in the iOS device's music library and create a chord diagram. The P-515 is also equipped with a Bluetooth connection, so it can also be used as a wireless speaker system.
