The Beat Bars FS2M is a compact tool that converts input from a foot switch pedal into MIDI/USB data. The FS2M connects to the computer via USB and is powered at the same time; the pedal is connected on the other side. The free MIDI configuration tool, available for MacOS, Windows and Linux, lets you define which action should be performed. So it's easy to start and stop the DAW or (de-)activate recording with the FS2M and a footswitch pedal eg.
