As a modern designed metal guitar Duvell Elite Gothic 6 convinces with optimal handling characteristics and a first-class wood selection. Mayones uses a mahogany body with a wide cut Cutaways and a flowing neck heel that gives access to the highest layers of the ebony fingerboard. The bolt-on, five-piece neck made of wenge and purpleheart (amaranth) also fits perfectly in the hand with its flat D-profile, so that every riff or solo comes off as if by magic. In the fretboard flank, fluorescent Luminlay Side Dots also provide unobstructed navigation between the 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets.
Mayones TKO by Bare Knuckle pickups
The sound conversion of the Duvell Gothic 6 is done by Mayones TKO by Bare Knuckle humbuckers, which were developed by the English pickup manufacturer especially for Mayones guitars and the needs of contemporary rock and metal. While the neck pickup armed with Alnico-V magnets delivers a clean and open tone for multi-faceted clean sounds singing Overdrive, the ceramic humbucker at the bridge convinces with a tight sound. Even at high gain and low tunings, every note is presented precisely and assertively. Thanks to the coil-split option, the Mayones Duvell delivers first-class single-coil sounds. A treble-bleed switch on the volume knob also preserves the treble when the volume is turned down.
Reliable Hardware from Hipshot
In addition, the Mayones Duvell Elite Gothic 6 convinces with a high-quality hardware equipment from Hipshot. On the body the proven Hipshot Fixed Guitar Bridge is used. While the string guide through the body supports the crisp response in tone, the large adjustment possibilities of the string saddle guarantee an optimal setting of intonation and string action even when using thick string sets for low tunings. Behind the Graph Tech saddle, Hipshot Grip-Lock Open-Gear locking tuners also ensure precise and stable tuning. Last but not least, Schaller S-Locks hold the guitar securely on the strap even during heavy stage action.
