Low-end enhancement plug-in for modern bass impact

Denise Audio Bass XXL is a specialised bass enhancement plug-in for producers, mixing engineers and sound designers who want to give their low end more weight, definition and projection. Rather than simply generating sub-bass, Bass XXL utilises its own algorithm to generate harmonic overtones above the fundamental frequency.

This makes the bass sound more powerful and more audible even on small speakers, earbuds and smartphones, without unnecessarily overloading the original mix.

Psychoacoustic bass for better projection

Bass XXL utilises a psychoacoustic principle: our brain often perceives deep bass through its harmonics. The plug-in generates precisely these harmonic components, thereby helping to make basslines, 808s, kicks, toms, drum groups or entire mix buses sound more prominent.

The result is a rich, controlled and musical low-end sound that works just as well on large studio monitors as it does on small playback systems.

Precise control over the bass range

Using the Frequency, Root Note and MIDI modes, you can determine exactly where Bass XXL should operate. For drums and one-shots, select a frequency; for tonal instruments, a root note; and for moving basslines, MIDI control.

Harmonics and Boost allow you to control the intensity of the generated overtones. The Boost operates in parallel, so your dry signal is preserved and the bass boost is integrated cleanly into the mix.

Fine-tuning your sound

Pre-Delay helps preserve the clarity of transients, whilst Mono improves control over the mid-bass. Slope shapes the attenuation of the harmonic signal, and Range determines the number of octaves over which harmonics are generated.

The built-in spectrogram visually displays the low-end range and shows which harmonic components Bass XXL adds.
