The Obsidian Netron RDM 10 is a fully-featured and therefore highly flexible DMX splitter, as well as a 2-port Ethernet gateway with full RDM support (DMX 512-A [RDM]).
The device features two DMX inputs that can be flexibly routed to one or more of the ten optically isolated DMX outputs. ‘Colour-coded’ LEDs for each input and output clearly indicate the corresponding assignment. A backup mode, which can automatically switch between the two DMX inputs, is also available.
The EtherNet input supports all current ArtNet standards as well as sACN and can be routed bidirectionally to one or two of the DMX outputs.
All relevant settings are configured either via the 1.8” OLED display or via a web interface using the integrated web server. As with the Netron EN 12, the RDM 10 also features pre-set and customisable presets, as well as up to 99 cues, each of which can be assigned fade and/or delay times. In addition to the on-screen selection options, ten potential-free I/O interfaces are available for ‘recalling’ the presets.
All the functions of this robust unit are housed within a single height unit. Connectivity options include powerCON TRUE1 inputs and outputs, as well as etherCON RJ-45 interfaces and 5-pin DMX inputs and outputs. The OLED display, featuring convenient jog-wheel control, is located on the front panel.
