Befaco A*B+C is a logic module for modules Synthesizer in Eurorack format. The A * B + C is a dual four quadrant multiplier with VC offset. Each section can perform analog multiplication of two signals (A and B) and add an offset (C). It can also act as a dual voltage controlled A / D converter, dual ring modulator, dual VCA or four channel Mixer modulator. The B inputs are routed to a continuous current meter that multiplies the signal between -2 and 2, while the offset inputs (C) pass through an amplifier with gain factor one (multiplies the signal between -1 and 1). In addition, the upper section is normalized to the lower section, whereby the lower section functions as the master.
Befaco A*B+CSince the revised version, the A*B+C is simply my favorite utility module.
It has replaced most VCAs in my rack (this is the 4rth I buy!).
The only thing it's not good at, because it's bipolar, is getting a perfect 0v or zero amplification.
That's why I keep a source of 0v next to it.
Besides that, it's a fine 4-in mixer (with amplification!), two fat-sounding ring modulators, and a very convenient pair bi-polar VCA with offset.
I recommend it warmly.
Plus, Bafeco's customer service is the best: The first one I bought was the original version, with its background noise issue, and they upgraded it for free.
