Equipped with a solid maple top, PRS 85/15 humbuckers and the typical PRS tremolo, this electric guitar sets both optical and tonal highlights and convinces furthermore with a flawless finish.

Fine woods and detailed workmanship

For the construction of the Custom 24 Orange Tiger, the guitar builders and Paul Reed Smith use only selected woods that lead to a perfect sound experience. Selected mahogany is used for the body, while the solid curly maple top features a flame that is full of character. The glued mahogany neck with its well-shaped Pattern Regular profile offers the perfect balance between rich feel and smooth playability. On the rosewood fingerboard, traditional bird inlays offer the best orientation between the 24 frets.

PRS 85/15 humbucker for versatile sound options

The pickups on the Custom 24 are two PRS 85/15 humbuckers, which were personally developed by Paul Reed Smith on the occasion of the company's 30th anniversary. These pickups convince with their clear sound, whose extended bass and treble spectrum offers the perfect basis for classic and modern timbres between warmly pearling cleans, singing Overdrive and pressing riffs. The 5-way switch can be used to select different circuit combinations for characterful tonal nuances:

  • Position 1: Bridge Humbucker
  • Position 2: bridge humbucker and split neck humbucker in parallel
  • Position 3: Bridge- and neck-humbucker
  • Position 4: split bridge humbucker and split neck humbucker in parallel
  • Position 5: Neck Humbucker

High-quality hardware

The equipment of the Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 Orange Tiger is completed by high-quality Hardware from our own house. On the body side the strings find their hold on the proven PRS Gen III tremolo, which convinces with smooth handling and high functionality and offers a comfortable support for the hand thanks to rounded edges. At the headstock the strings run with a straight pull from the nut to the PRS Phase III locking tuners. These guarantee a high tuning stability even with frequent vibrato use and make string changes much easier. The PRS Custom 24 is also delivered in anoble PRS case, which offers the electric guitar the best possible protection during transport.
