MAM Systems

The German manufacturer MAM has been around since 1995, the first product was the 19" rack synthesizer MB33, which was a 303 clone, but without its own sequencer. This was followed by various analogue effects units such as the highly acclaimed VF-11 vocoder, the analogue percussion synthesizer ADX-1 and the sequencer SQ16, which is still sought after on the second-hand market today. In the meantime, things have become very quiet around the manufacturer, who returned in 2015 with the MB33 Retro in a compact desktop format. The relatively unique sound impressed friends from the acid genre then as now, and at an attractive price.
