The Golden Age Comp-554 Plus 500 Series Vintage Compressor & Carnhill Transformer features a classic diode design with a transformer balanced input and output. The Comp-554 is a one-channel vintage-style compressor with a signal path that uses only discrete components including resistors, capacitors and transistors. The unit uses a third interstage transformer. The unique sound character of this compressor is warm, smooth, sweet and musical. The Comp-554 Plus contains a Carnhill Transformer.
