The D'Addario NYXL0946 Super Light Top & Regular Bottom Guitar Strings 09-46 is a set of six strings for an electric guitar. The NYXL0946 is a hybrid set combining the high strings from a super light set (.009) with the low strings from an regular light set (.046), thereby resulting in a set with strong fundamental low end and super flexibility on the high strings. The NYXL strings bend farther, sing louder and retain tuning better than any string on the market. Constructed with a newly engineered, break-resistant, high-carbon steel core and plain steel alloy, these strings offer the player a revolutionary level of freedom and power.
Thanks to a completely reinvented wire drawing process and revolutionary “fusion twist” process for the plain steels, the NYXL’s offer 20-40% more strength and up to 131% greater tuning stability. The reformulated nickel-plated string windings have greater magnetic properties resulting in a higher output and enhanced mid-range frequency response for more presence and crunch.
