I got fed up messing with connections when switching between an old Focusrite Pro40 interface and a new Clarett 8Pre USB. The Pro40 has a feature I need that is not on the Clarett. I was using an old Soundcraft Spirit Folio 14 desk but needed to recover desk space. I decided I needed a Rack Mounted line mixer. I spotted this and thought the splitter option may prove useful too. I only needed 4 in and 2 out and the price was a factor. It's proven to be pretty good. I detect a slight loss of detail in the sound compared to the Soundcraft but I can live with it as my needs are not that critical. Comments about the indented pots are fair too. It's difficult to get an exact level but I make adjustments from my DAW which overcomes this. I initially looked for a passive splitter but couldn't find anything at a reasonable price which was very surprising. All in all I'm very happy with it and think its a very good buy.
