The DW Performance Shell Set Rock Cherry Stain Laquer made from North AmericanMaple is a spectacular drum set in the popular DW quality. The shells, each eight-ply thick, have been glued together using DW's proprietary HVX constructionmethod for a deep fundamentaltone with powerful projection. Remo-made heads are held in place by triple-flanged steel hoops on the 45° bearing edges. In order for the two suspended toms to develop their sound in the best possible way, they are held free-swinging by DW's suspension tom mounts.

The Maple shells feature the usual excellent DW quality, with precise attack and sustain characteristics and an impressive depth of sound. The True Pitch tension rods allow for precise fine tuning of the drums and ensure consistent tuning stability.
