The JBL 305P MKII is an active 2-way studio monitor with an integrated 5" woofer and scores with a precise stereo image, wide sweet spot, high audio resolution and an impressive dynamic range. The good performance results from the combination of its components. These are optimised signal converters, dual, customised Class-D amps, the patented Image Control Waveguide and the equally patented Slip Stream for low frequencies. Also on board is the practical Boundary EQ and an HF Trim for optimising the sound in the respective working environment. Together with its modern and solid housing, the 305P MKII is suitable for studios and projects of all kinds.
Originally designed for JBL's flagship M2, the patented Image Control Waveguide delivers more detail, ambience and depth in the mix, allowing for more targeted mixing. This innovation enables acoustically flawless transitions between low- and high-frequency transducers and a precise stereo image. In addition, a wide sweet spot is guaranteed in every situation, giving the engineer (and any visitors listening in) more freedom of movement without altering the sound image.
To make better decisions in the mix, the JBL 305P MKII is equipped with 3-series transducers that perform even better than before. The 5" woofer in combination with the JBL Slip Stream Low-Frequency Port delivers deep and accurate bass, while a 1" neodymium tweeter provides detailed highs. In general, the speaker is characterised by fast transients, higher linearity and reduced distortion, so you can fully rely on it.

JBL 305P MKIIUsually purchase high costing equipment which I have no idea how to use as I'm a beginner. It was nice to find a product which reviews consistently praised it and it's cost was reasonable for a an entry to mid tier product. Purchased these over yamaha HS5's as they supposedly performed far better than other 5" small speakers. Very happy and it's a nice feeling to know one day I might be able to outgrow them and then upgrade. Amazing quality, exceptionally happy.
