Between Triangle and Red Army/Civil War Muff: From vintage to stoner fuzz

The JAM Pedals Red Muck mk.2 combines the characteristic sound qualities of early Big Muff circuits with modern enhancements and is particularly interesting for anyone seeking maximum flexibility, from creamy vintage fuzz sounds right through to massive stoner riffs. Sonically, the pedal draws inspiration from both the legendary ’71 Triangle Muff and the later Red Army/Civil War variants, offering a particularly wide range of control for gain, compression and sustain. The additional boost footswitch activates a separate gain stage, which can be used either to achieve even greater fuzz saturation or – at lower gain settings – as a powerful solo boost. The design is complemented by a switch between symmetrical and asymmetrical clipping, allowing for different dynamic and distortion characteristics.
