If your setup goes beyond a few synths and controllers, clean MIDI distribution quickly becomes a real challenge. This is exactly where the Miditech MIDIFACE 16x16 Pro comes in. This USB MIDI interface brings order to complex rigs and ensures that timing and data flow remain stable, whether in the studio or on stage.

16 ports, 256 channels and no more stress with bottlenecks

With 16 MIDI inputs and 16 MIDI outputs, you have a total of 256 MIDI channels available at the same time. This means that large Hardware setups can be neatly structured without having to constantly reconnect or think about MIDI thru chains. Each connection is direct and independent, which is immediately noticeable in the timing. The system remains reliable and precise, especially with many sequences, clock signals and SysEx data running in parallel . This is crucial if several devices are to work tightly together.

Stable timing thanks to proven technology

The GM5 technology from Ploytec is at work inside. This has been known for years for clean MIDI timing and reliable transmission, even with complex data streams. The difference is particularly noticeable with SysEx when dumps or parameter runs run through without dropouts.

In combination with USB 3.0, the data flow is also prioritized. This ensures even more stable performance, especially when many ports are active at the same time.

Targeted use of running status

An exciting detail is the switchable running status function. This means that identical status bytes are not resent each time for successive MIDI messages. This reduces the amount of data and makes the transfer faster and more efficient. If you are working with older Hardware, you can simply deactivate the function and remain fully compatible.

Plug and play without driver chaos

The MIDIFACE 16x16 Pro runs completely class compliant. You plug it in and can get started straight away, whether macOS or Windows up to version 11. No drivers, no installation, no stress. This is a real advantage, especially in changing setups or Live situations.

Power is supplied directly via USB, so you don't need an external power supply. The interface also provides 5V MIDI power for compatible devices.

Scalable for even larger setups

If 16 ports are not enough, you can expand the system. Two devices can be combined, even mixed with the older version. This gives you up to 32 MIDI In and Out ports and a total of 512 MIDI channels. This is a very flexible solution for large studios or complex Live rigs.

Robust 19-inch format for studio and stage

The robust 19-inch housing with 2U fits perfectly into the rack and makes the interface suitable for the road. All connections are neatly arranged and easily accessible even in tightly wired setups.
