The PDP Concept Maple Bop Shell Set in Satin Seafoam is a compact three-piece drum kit equipped with Remo heads. Crafted from 100% maple, the shells deliver a warm, resonant tone suitable for a wide range of modern music styles. Premium hardware including True Pitch tension screws, Dual Turret lugs, and triple-flanged steel hoops ensures durability and precise tuning. The Suspension Tom Mount (STM) and cast tension claws for the bass drum meet professional standards, while the matte FinishPly outer layer gives the kit a stylish, modern look. A tom holder is included, and a matching snare drum is available separately.

PDP Concept Maple: Compact jazz drum kit in the Bop configuration.
As the name suggests, the Concept Maple shells are made entirely of maple, with seven carefully layered plies for optimal tonal quality. Borrowing from DW’s proven design concepts, the kit features Graduated Counter Hoops: the hoop thickness is adapted to each shell size, allowing smaller toms to resonate freely while larger shells benefit from stronger hoops that focus the sound. Another DW-inspired innovation is FinishPly, where the outer foil layer is integrated into the shell construction and treated like the other wood plies, contributing directly to the kit’s tonal character.
