The Radial LX-3 is a professional passive line-level splitter that can send a single balanced audio signal to up to three different destinations simultaneously. Thanks to its sophisticated signal routing, it is ideal for studio and live applications where one output needs to drive multiple receivers - such as mixing consoles, recording devices or speaker systems.
At the heart of the LX-3 are two high-quality Jensen JT-123-FLPCH transformers, which ensure outstanding sound quality in the two isolated outputs. These transformers offer optimum frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, extremely low distortion values (<0.001 % @ 1 kHz) and impressive common mode rejection (105 dB @ 60 Hz) - perfect for lossless signal distribution even over long cable runs.
Two of the three outputs are transformer-isolated and effectively prevent hum loops and interference noise that can be caused by different ground potentials. In addition, all three XLR outputs are equipped with ground lift switches to specifically interrupt the audio ground potential if required and thus further minimize interference. Although the direct thru output is not isolated, it also offers an effective means of ground isolation thanks to its own ground lift switch.
The XLR/TRS combo connection of the LX-3 allows the connection of both balanced and unbalanced sources. A switchable -12 dB input attenuation protects against clipping from particularly hot signal sources. Practical: An internal
The book-end housing design made of sturdy metal reliably protects connections and switches. An anti-slip rubber base prevents unwanted movements on smooth surfaces. Optional J-Rak rack solutions or the J-Clamp mount are also available for permanent installation.
