Rather than simply delivering brutal distortion, Cobra Fuzz can be shaped very precisely, making it equally exciting for both classic fuzz sounds and modern production chains.
Cobra Fuzz is designed so that you can quickly adapt the character of the effect to your material. Using Sustain, Gain, Tone and Blend, you can adjust the sound from smooth and creamy to rough, growling and distinctly more aggressive. This makes the plugin suitable not only for solo riffs and walls of guitar, but also for bass, drum layers or creative sound design applications where a signal needs more character and presence.
A real highlight is the Pre Boost at +20 dB. This allows the input signal to be boosted significantly, giving the fuzz more sharpness, more saturation and more energy. Particularly with guitars and bass, this can result in significantly livelier, denser and harder sounds. At the same time, the processing remains controllable, as Output Trim and Blend help to position the sound cleanly within the mix.
The Tone control allows you to shape the fundamental character of the fuzz sound very directly. This enables you to make the sound brighter and more biting, or darker and more massive. The Blend control also allows you to continuously mix the clean and processed signals. This is particularly useful if you want to add character without losing the contour or the original punch of the input signal.
With the Width control, the Cobra Fuzz expands the stereo image without compromising mono compatibility. This is particularly useful for wide guitar pads, distorted synth sounds or creative effects chains that need to have a greater presence in the stereo field without becoming unstable in the mix.
