With RedNet R1, users can interact with their audio system better than ever before. It offers the flexibility to control a range of different monitor configurations, ranging from mono to 7.1.4 surround, including work in Dolby Atmos and other immersive audio formats. Alternatively, custom setups can be configured for bespoke speaker configurations with up to twelve outputs. RedNet R1 can be used to control groups of outputs from the wide range of sources and destinations available on a Red Audio interface, including Pro Tools | HD and other DAWs, analogue inputs and outputs, ADAT and S/PDIF connections, and even entire Dante networks, simultaneously and interchangeably.

RedNet R1 supports a maximum of eight channels, each with up to twelve sources per channel from 32 available audio sources via analogue, digital, DAW and Dante connections. The inputs are mixed and routed to up to twelve monitor output channels – ranging from mono to 7.1.4 surround. The controls on the top panel include level control, selection of reference level presets, Cut, Dim, Mute and a variety of solo modes. There is an A/B switch that allows you to switch between numerous monitor presets. In addition, up to four presets in drop-down menus allow for quick switching to check downmixes. Custom cue mixes can be sent to the artists from any of the 32 available inputs.The RedNet R1 also features a Dante-enabled talkback section, an internal microphone preamp system and a powerful headphone output, allowing you to interact with your Audio-over-IP system better than ever before.

Up to four talkback groups are available when using a Red Audio interface. (When using other Dante devices, only one talkback group is available). The RedNet R1 has a built-in microphone. However, users can also connect their own microphone via the XLR input on the rear panel. The audiophile headphone output can be fed by a wide range of analogue and digital audio sources. The RedNet R1 features two LCD displays for highly accurate level metering of the outputs, sources and headphone outputs. It also provides visual guidance for menu navigation. The RedNet R1 is configured via RedNet Control. This software has been developed to enable quick and straightforward configuration of both simple and complex monitoring and routing set-ups. Additional features include a 6.3 mm footswitch input for talkback management, LFE muting and more. To reduce cabling complexity, the RedNet R1 can be powered via Ethernet (using the PoE standard) or via a DC power supply.
