The GEM Promega 2+ is quick and easy to use, thanks to the large and user-friendly main panel, the large buttons and the reduced need to access all digital menus. Everything you need for your performance is always at hand. Just the way you need it.
GEM's digital signal processing (DSP) technology is at a high level of innovation, and science has its origins in major European and American universities. UpDRAKE (Upgraded DSP Risc Advanced Keyboard Engine) processes sampled database piano sounds and creates authentic sound models on samples in real time. This is why Promega 2+ sounds absolutely authentic and models the typical behavior of acoustic pianos down to the last detail. For example, the famous Italian 10' concert grand piano and many other historical piano sounds were created by combining sample reproduction and physical modeling techniques: natural string resonance, dynamic emulation filter algorithm, advanced triggering technology and damper physical model.
Due to Generalmusic's unique physical modeling technology, the result is a musically accurate simulation of a piano keyboard with infinite overtones. All complex overtones generated by a piano soundboard are reproduced by NSR. The individual sound of a note is always slightly different, depending on which other notes are being held and therefore resonate "undamped" and thus freely in harmony with the note played.
