A few years ago I bought the J&D 1975 bass in green - can’t fault it, it played better than a Squier 77 which I used to own. However my newly purchased JB Plus is a real let down. It looks and sounds great but the neck is absolute garbage. Severely sharp fret edges, insane amount of fret buzz/dead spots. It’s since had a complete set up and fret dress but something’s still not right as it buzzes like crazy on the low E. I would have sent it back but because I’ve worked on it I’m now stuck with it. Maybe I was just unlucky but the truth is there are many basses I’ve owned, a lot cheaper than this one, and played far better.

Amazing tones with some cosmetic issues typical if this pric
Really love the tones fity the addition if the middle humbucker! Jazz tones alone give my Fender a run for its money. I don't care for the clear scratchplate (should be black!) and there were some sharp fret edges but overall value is really good!
