Behringer SC-U StageConnect Interface

The Behringer SC-U is the compact control hub for connecting StageConnect systems, multi-channel recording on a computer, and Ultranet monitoring in live and event situations. Acting as a 3-way bridge, it links StageConnect systems with 32-channel USB audio in/out and Behringer Ultranet in/out ideal for combining playback/recording setups with Ultranet personal monitoring (e.g., P16) in a continuous signal flow. StageConnect runs over standard 3-pin XLR, DMX, or microphone cable and transmits 32 channels bidirectionally with sub-millisecond latency at 44.1/48 kHz and 24-bit resolution.

For maximum reliability in mixed setups, the SC-U features asynchronous 32-channel sample rate conversion, allowing systems with different word clocks and sample rates to communicate seamlessly with only 0.4 ms latency and 140 dB dynamic range. MIDI data can also be transferred from the USB host computer to the StageConnect bus, making the SC-U especially useful for modern show rigs with DAW playback, cues, and control data. The host connector supports additional StageConnect devices for multichannel audio, while the client connector enables daisy-chaining of multiple units. The concept is completed by a robust DI-box format suitable for touring, and an external DC power supply is included.
