For the Quest Q54, Ibanez has gone for an extremely comfortable headless design that caters to the desires of tech-savvy guitarists. The flat Nyatoh body fits the player perfectly thanks to generously shaped contours, while the All Access Neck Joint and wide cutaways make the entire neck playable. The neck is made of three pieces of roastedmaple and bubinga, and with the pleasantly slim Wizard C profile creates the best conditions for agile string work on the 24-fret fretboard made of Roasted Birdseye Maple.
With the HSS pickup setup developed especially for the Guitar and the innovative dyna-MIX9 circuit, which calls up nine different combinations of pickups via 5-way switch and Alter Switch, the Ibanez Quest Q54 delivers particularly versatile clean and overdrive sounds for the modern styles of fusion and rock. Both the R1 single coils and the Q58 humbucker convince with an even reproduction of all frequencies and a clearly audible string separation even with complex chord voicings.
Last but not least, the Standard Q54 from Ibanez comes with indestructible hardware that has been perfectly matched to the headless design. Ibanez Mono-Tune bridges with built-in tuning mechanism not only promise optimal intonation and string action, but also ensure stable tuning. At the end of the neck, an Ibanez Custom String Lock holds the strings securely.
