With the PRS CE 24 Champagne Metallic the classic screw neck construction returns after a long absence to the program of the noble guitar forge from Stevensville, Maryland! The electric guitar combines a mahogany body with maple top and a maple neck with two PRS 85/15 humbuckers and the well-known functional hardware into a harmonious instrument that provides the right guitar sound for almost every genre.
Like all Paul Reed Smith electric guitars, the PRS CE 24 convinces with the flawless workmanship of exquisite woods at the highest level. Mahogany is used for the body, while the solid maple top with its PRS carving conjures up the familiar handling. The neck is also made of maple and carries a rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets and bird inlays. In combination with the neck screw connection, this wood selection provides a brilliant primary tone, whose quick response brings tones to life. In addition, the "Pattern Thin" neck profile in conjunction with the flat top curvature promises a high level of playing comfort, regardless of whether you are a lead or rhythm guitarist.
The electrical sound conversion of the PRS CE 24 is performed by two PRS 85/15 humbuckers personally developed by Paul Reed Smith to provide a modern sound for a wide range of guitar applications. Accordingly, the pickups have a remarkably transparent reproduction on both the clean and distorting amps, which follows every nuance of the game with deep but articulate bass, vocal mids and silky lustre. In addition, both pickups can be split using the push/pull tone potentiometer, so authentic single coil sounds with bell-like clarity and silver overtones significantly enhance the sound of the Paul Reed Smith CE 24. A 3-way toggle switch and a master volume control are also available for further control of the pickups.
