Useful features for accurate listening

The Phonitor 3 from SPL is a premium headphone and monitor controller with SPL's reliable 120V technology and Phonitor Matrix (more about the Phonitor Matrix in the video below). As a headphone and monitor controller for use in professional recording studios, the Phonitor 3 offers a wide range of monitoring options: Signals that have already been panned can be heard even more accurately with L/R Solo. The L/R Swap switch swaps the left and right channels, which can be helpful when selecting samples with panorama movement, for example. The common Mono Sum function can be used in combination with the Phase Swap switch to monitor the mid and side signals separately. Finally, the laterality function (balance control) can be used to compensate for differences in sensitivity between the left and right ear. Two mechanical and backlit VU meters, one for the left and one for the right channel, are clearly visible on the front panel to check the level. As with the previous model, SPL has attached a 45 mm rotary knob made of milled aluminum to the device for optimum control of the monitoring level.
