With the Player II Telecaster RW Rallye Orange, Fender presents one of the latest Tele models from the new Player Series II, combining the tried-and-tested Telecaster design with adapted features that offer both comfortable playability and the authentic vintagesound of the solid-body model first released in 1950. With a chambered ash body and a four-bolt maple neck featuring a Modern ‘C’ neck profile, you can tackle bluesy tones or rock riffs with ease, whilst the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5” fretboard radius ensures ease of play when it comes to rapid chord changes or fast licks. The legendary Tele twang is provided, on the one hand, by the two Player Series Alinco 5 single-coil pickups in the neck and bridge positions, whilst the sturdy nickel/chrome hardware – such as the Fender ClassicGear tuning machines and the 6-saddle string-through-body Tele bridge – ensures reliable intonation and tuning stability. The highlight of the Player II Telecaster models is a range of brand-new, exotic colour finishes, which give this iconic guitar model a fresh new look, allowing it to shine with 21st-century modernity.
The Player II Telecaster RW Rallye Orange features two Player Series Alnico 5 Tele-Single Coils in the neck and bridge positions, delivering the iconic Telecaster sound. The tone is characterised by prominent mids, bright trebles and a percussive attack, making the electric guitar particularly well-suited to genres such as jazz, country, funk, blues or blues rock. A classic 3-way switch allows the pickups to be selected either individually or simultaneously. Whether it’s smooth clean tones, crisp crunch or dynamic overdrive leads – with the Player II Telecaster, it’s not just vintage enthusiasts who benefit from a unique sound, but also beginners who can rediscover the appeal of a timeless classic!
The Player II Telecaster’s nickel/chrome hardware comprises a 6-saddle string-through-body Tele bridge, Fender ClassicGear tuning machines and the classic headstock plate with the ‘F’ logo. The electric guitar also features flat-top controls for master volume and master tone, and a barrel-style switch tip on the 3-way switch, all of which are housed on the classic Telecaster control plate. To enhance the authentic vintage feel, the neck single-coil pickup is fitted with a chrome cover, whilst the pickup built into the Tele bridge features a black cover.
