With its classic singlecut design, the Gibson Les Paul Standard 2017 T has the typical Les Paul feeling, while the ultra-modern weight relief reduces the weight of the mahogany body from a comfortable level. Furthermore, the neck with the slim taper profile nestles comfortably in the hand, while on the fretboard with compound radius complex chords as well as virtuoso solos can be easily handled.
The Gibson Les Paul Standard 2017 T's electric tone conversion is done by two Gibson Burstbucker Pro pickups in the neck and bridge position, which convince with their versatile sound without denying their PAF genes of the golden era. Accordingly, both classical and modern timbres are available, which breathe life into every solo and riff played with airy articulation and warm singing voice. The pickups are managed via the classic circuit with 3-way toggle and individual volume and tone controls.
The hardware is perfectly matched to the Gibson Les Paul Standard 2017 T with a traditional look and contemporary functionality. The strings are held on the body by an aluminium tailpiece and guided over a Tune-O-Matic bridge, which ensures precise adjustment of intonation and string position. From there the strings are led over the neck, where they first meet the traditional nylon saddle and then the Grover Locking tuners. They promise a precise and stable tuning, while at the same time making string changes much easier.
