'59 Falcon Bigsby Lake Placid Blue combines the classic late '50s Gretsch style with modern components to create a versatile electric guitar that’s ideal for Rock'n'Roll, Country and Rockabilly. The laminated Maple body features the traditional Gretsch Trestle Bracing, whilst the Standard U shape glued Maple neck lies comfortably in the hand. The G6136T-59 Limited Edition '59 Falcon features a Bigsby B6CP String-Thru Vibrato and Grover Imperial clamp action.
The G6136T-59 Ltd. Ed. '59 Falcon relies on the proven construction method and manufactures the powerful body with back, top and sides from laminated Maple and uses the Gretsch Trestle Bracing to stabilize without damping the resonance. A warm acoustic timbre and an organic response characterize the sound of the guitar.
The G6136T-59 Limited Edition '59 Falcon uses 2x TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter'Tron pick-ups creating an absolutely authentic recreation of the pick-ups that Ray Butts produced exclusively for Gretsch from the mid-1950s onwards. They deliver a brilliant vintage sound with organic dynamics from the guitar amp, conveying the sound characteristics of the hollow body construction and the expression of the player. The pick-ups are controlled by the standard Gretsch circuit, which provides separate volume controls for each pick-up, a master volume and a triple tone switch. Squeezebox oil paper capacitors guarantee even treble roll-offs.
The G6136T-59 Limited Edition '59 Falcon uses reliable hardware equipment that combines classic looks with modern functionality. On the body, the strings run through the axis of the Bigsby B6CP String-Thru Vibrato, and from here the strings lead over the Rocking Bar Bridge with intonation-proof pinned ebony base. On the headstock, Grover Imperial Locking Tuners provide precise tuning even with frequent use of the vibrato lever.
