The Effector WF 3607 Wah Filter Kuassa is a Wahwah effect plugin based on the classic "Cry Baby" and "Mu-Tron" with a total of six stereo effects. It is aimed at guitarists and home producers who need an easy-to-use, affordable yet high-quality wah effect in their host software. The operation is simple and clear and yet with this simple plugin you can quickly reach the rocky or bluesy effects of the 70s where the wahwah effect has its roots. In combination with a MIDI expression pedal, you will quickly achieve the feeling of a good old Cry baby pedal at an affordable price.
The control is actually very simple and yet quite extensive: The three filters CB ( Dunlop Cry Baby), AX (Vertex Axis Wah) and VG (Vox Grey Wah) are full-fledged Wahs that can be controlled via a MIDI expression pedal, while the three Mu-Tron imitations represent MuLP, MuBP and MuHP Auto-Wahs with either low, high or bandpass filters. Three envelope controls give you the ability to precisely define attack, release and modulation intensity. With the Range control, the filter frequency ranges can be further adjusted, while the Q control lets you adjust the modulation bandwidth. One click on the pedal switch and you can indulge in the warm tones of the Rock and Blues classics.
What began as a fascination for the muffled trumpet sounds of the 1920s quickly gained popularity in the 70s with Dunlop's Cry Baby effect pedal. What was actually an accidental invention was quickly reflected in the guitar effects of countless songs from blues, jazz and rock. Almost at the same time, the Mu-Tron Envelope filter, which actually began as a synthesizer project, became just as popular.
