The Apollo x16D Essentials+ Edition features an 18 x 20 audio interface with Dante I/O, which supports AES67 mode at 48 kHz. It utilises the 24-bit/192 kHz Apollo X D/A conversion and offers stereo AES I/O for connection to professional digital outboard hardware. The integrated HEXA-Core Processing enables mixing with UAD plugins without any noticeable latency. The interface is compatible with Thunderbolt Apollo interfaces for expanding systems via Dante and supports the creation of 16-channel immersive audio mixes for Dolby Atmos, Auro-3D, Sony 360 Reality Audio and other formats. It also offers ALT monitoring support in all monitor modes and technical support from experienced sound engineers.

The Apollo x16D enables real-time mixing and recording of studio and live performances using award-winning UAD plug-ins via Dante and Thunderbolt. With the Plug-in Scenes feature, settings can be recalled instantly, even during a performance. Thanks to its network capabilities, the interface can be used via Ethernet for multi-room set-ups. It is expandable, allowing up to four x16Ds to be connected to create a 64-channel Dante system with network redundancy. Furthermore, it enables the use of over 200 UAD plug-ins, including well-known names such as Auto-Tune, Neve, SSL, LA-2A, 1176 and Lexicon.

Application

With its powerful digital mixing engine , it enables the rapid creation of mixes and the control of entire effects chains in real time. Plugin settings can be quickly accessed via MIDI without interrupting the performance. After the show, the interface can be taken back to the studio, where it serves as an all-in-one monitoring hub for mix formats up to 9.1.6.
