With an alder body and the screwed maple neck with ebony fingerboard, the Fender American Elite Jazz Bass uses Fender the proven ingredients in its construction. At the same time, the compound shaping of the neck ensures incomparable playing comfort. The profile of the back side of the fingerboard changes smoothly from a stately "C" to a flat "D", while the radius of the fingerboard becomes flatter towards the higher registers, so that even complex grooves and lines can be heard easily.
