With the Fender American Original '60s Jazzmaster RW Olympic White, Fender presents an authentic new edition of the very first Jazzmaster, whose ergonomic offset design caused a sensation in the Flower Power era. The nitrocellulose finish conceals an alder body and a screwed maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Two Fender Pure Vintage '65 Jazzmaster Single Coil Pickups and the typical circuit with rhythm and lead circuit provide authentic vintage sounds on the amplifier, which are not only perfect for classical jazz, but also for wild surf and alternative rock. Last but not least, the Fender American Original Jazzmaster features the Fender Vintage Floating tremolo.
For the construction of the Fender American Original '60s Jazzmaster, Fender uses the proven offset design with the original dimensions of the 1960s. The body, which offers high playing comfort thanks to its curved shape and large cutaway, is made of alder, while the screwed neck is made of maple and carries a "Round Laminated" rosewood fretboard. The combination of 9.5" fretboard radius and the slim "Mid '60s C" profile also offers unimpeded playability.
Two Fender Pure Vintage '65 Jazzmaster single coils are used as pickups on the Fender American Original Jazzmaster, providing the typical warm yet transparent Jazzmaster sound with an authentic material selection and classic construction. The coilformers are made of vulcanized fiber, while enamelled copper wire is used for the wide and flat wound coil.
Of course, the pickups of the Fender American Original Jazzmaster are managed via the traditional lead and rhythm circuit. The lead circuit provides 3-way toggle with master volume and master tone controls, which can be used to select both pickups in the usual way. The Rhythm Circuit, on the other hand, is activated via the slide switch in the upper half of the body and provides the neck pickup with its own volume and tone control. This allows you to set and recall two different sounds.
Last but not least, the Fender American Original '60s Jazzmaster features the historically correct Fender Vintage Floating tremolo. This allows pitch modulations in both directions and allows expressive decorating of melodies and chords. From the vibrato, the strings are guided over the Fender 6-Saddle Adjustable Bridge. Fender Pure Vintage Deluxe tuners behind the bone saddle of the headstock also ensure precise and stable tuning.
