The Istanbul Legend Dry Ride 22" is a ride cymbal made of high-quality B20 bronze with deep hammering and a particularly flat surface ("Shallow lathing"). The brilliant-finish of the cymbal is the best way to show off the impressive appearance of the hammering marks and the unique lathing. These extend over the entire surface of the cymbal, in a slightly shallower form even up to the top of the ride. The exceptionally dry sound is amplified by this intensive hammering, creating a modern cymbal with a complex, dark sound. This ride from Istanbul ennobles the sound of every drum kit, no matter if in the rehearsal room, in the studio or live on stage.
The complex and modern sound serves almost every musical style, thanks to its dark, dry timbre it is particularly suitable for jazz, fusion and funk.
A special feature of the Legend Dry cymbal series is the way the cymbals are lathed and hammered. Even though the profile and weight are based on the well-known Legend cymbals, the extremely flat lathing process gives the cymbals a unique surface. Together with the hammer marks, which reach up to the top for a dry and modern sound, this creates the Legend Dry Sound, a real unique selling point.
Like all Istanbul Mehmet cymbals, the Legend Dry versions are 100% handmade in Turkey. Old tradition meets modern and innovative approaches to achieve the best results. The classic B20 alloy, which is used as standard in most professional cymbal series, is used.
