Articulate - Audio ADSR for more punch, body and air

With Articulate, Newfangled Audio brings a tool to your DAW that makes transient shaping as easy as EQ work. Instead of just throwing "attack up, sustain down" on the entire signal, Articulate breaks down each audio into four musical phases: attack, decay, Sustain and release. You control them via four faders - and give drums, vocals, guitars or entire busses exactly the character that your Mix needs.

Four faders, one goal: dynamics to suit your taste

Every sound consists of the same basic building blocks. Articulate makes them visible and directly shapeable:
Smack for the initial, attention-grabbing impact, Punch for the emphasis, Body for the core and Air for the decay. This allows you to sharpen a kick attack, tame hi-hats or give a piano more presence without destroying the rest of the envelope.

Sidechain envelope shaping for clean, modern mixes

The sidechain mode allows you to shape one signal with another. Let the Kick breathe the Bass, clean up reverb tails or create groove ducking - all with the same ADSR idea, only smarter and more musical than classic compression.

For sound design, mixing and quick problem solving

Whether you want to aggressively pull transients forward or subtly smooth them out: Articulate remains natural and controlled. Thanks to the separation control, you decide how soft or hard the shaping intervenes - from transparent fine tuning to crisp, modern snap.
