The Digiface Ravenna audio interface is based on the popular Digiface Dante and features a Ravenna module developed by DirectOut. This USB 3.0 device combines everything RME is known for: MADI, TotalMix FX, and excellent options for both USB and standalone operation. The two BNC connectors for word clock I/O on the MADI ports are switchable and support up to 64 channels. The total capacity of Ravenna and MADI – 128 channels – is transmitted via USB 3.0 and managed through the included Ravenna web server or RME’s TotalMix FX. This gives you full and straightforward control over all audio signals.
On the network side, the device includes a full Ravenna stack with AES67 and ST2110-30/31 support, as well as redundant audio-over-IP streaming according to ST2022-7. In addition, the Digiface can serve as a mobile 64-channel Ravenna/MADI converter without needing a USB connection to a computer. The coaxial MADI connections can also be configured as word clock sync I/O.
Like all current RME interfaces, the Digiface Ravenna comes with the powerful digital real-time mixer TotalMix FX. This allows you to perform any mixing and routing tasks with all inputs and playback channels on any hardware outputs. Its versatile features include talkback, main/phones, fader groups, mute groups, full remote control via Mackie and OSC protocols, and much more.
TotalMix Remote expands the capabilities of RME interfaces by enabling remote control via iOS, PC, or Mac. After a simple setup, just enter the IP address of the computer you want to control, and every aspect of TotalMix FX can be adjusted on the host system while you move freely around the studio with your tablet, no matter where the control room is located.
