The ACME-4 from SND is a professional central control unit for musical synchronisation signals and, following the successful launch of the young company, is currently the latest product from SND. The abbreviation ACME stands for ‘Advanced Clock Management Engine’, which means that it is the only device in the world that generates MIDI clock signals that are completely free of time fluctuations, also known as ‘jitter’! As with all SND products, great attention to detail was paid in the design of the ACME-4. A very powerful 32-bit RISC processor is used to achieve the desired temporal accuracy. High-quality components (sockets, switches and buttons with gold contacts, encapsulated potentiometers from Alps, etc.) as well as a sturdy metal housing ensure high operational reliability even over long periods of time.
