The TC Electronic Fluorescence Shimmer Reverb is a recreation of the huge ambient spaces created by pioneering musician/producers Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois, and the bands and artists they went on to produce. U2’s The Edge has made extensive use of these kinds of reverbs throughout the career of the world-famous Irish band.
Use the four controls to tailor the way the reverb responds to your input signal. The length of the reverb tail is set by the Reverb knob, growing in size as it turns clockwise. The Tone control can be employed to darken or brighten the tail as desired. The unique nature of the effect can be intensified with the Shimmer control, thickening the tone with ethereal octaves. Finally, use the Mix to set the wet/dry combination in your output sound.
