The G1Xon’s Looper feature enables you to record up to 30 seconds of CD-quality audio. The loop length can be changed manually or to a preset number of quarter notes up to 64 beats. You can loop to any rhythm pattern, with automatic quantization to ensures seamless start and end times.
The Zoom G1Xon’s features include:
If you need something cheap and dont have much space. This is the best device you can by. All the effects are pretty decent, the expression pedal is useful.
Its well built, looks solid.
The menus are really easy to use, it takes 5 minutes to get use to it.
Multi effect units are always gonna be subjective to varying opinions. Straight up I will tell you this is an really well thought out product. Packed with a multitude of options ranging from drum rhythms to various amp models to the 30 second looper this is something that if you like to create or you are experimenting with your sound to see what kind of pedals you're possibly going to invest in then this is a perfect starting point. At home situations, you know how it can a little messy sometimes and this little box tidies everything up. A feature that I really like about this is that you can just have your guitar and this anywhere, plug in your headphones and just jam, create or practice away. Let me tell you the sound using it this way is excellent, it really did surprise me. Very ease to use overall, it's not going take long at all to get use to how the menus work. You can stack 5 effects on one channel and get some very interesting tones. The rhythm options are strong with good solid beats, certainly doesn't sound thin and amazing for practising keeping time. Solidly built all around and sturdy. Value for money is good here, depends on you own needs but there is a lot options in here. If you're looking for just a looper then the 30 seconds might not be enough especially for slower 12 bar blues but in addition to all of the effects and rhythms it's hard for me not to recommend at least trying out the product if you get the chance. The expression is solid here as well, but I would treat it nicely and not go stomping on it.
Cheap, durable & solid. A lot of features like a Tuner + Drum Machine + Looper + 5 effects in a time. Expression pedal is pretty useful for wahs. Good amp simulation. It is well built. Interface is easy to pickup.
You can use it on AAA-batteries with AUX input for music player, and output to headphones.
All the features make it great for on-road usage or practicing your guitar skills in almost all conditions.
BUT. One issue is bother me. There is no manual volume control. So to change master volume you must go to the menu. It's not convenient at all. Otherwise if you don't care about it will be an ideal fit for your guitar rig.
I have never been a fan of multi effect pedals however I needed a small pedal to take along to practice and jam sessions so I bought the Zoom G1xon. first plugged it in and thought what a noise but after an hour of learning and tweeking this thing is great , a little cheap made but seems sturdy enough and the effects are real select a boss DS-1 and you have a boss DS-1 , it is worth the price just for the looper although not really usable for live performance because you have to push a button with your finger but for practice its great, the effect are good enough for me to consider buying the big brother the G-5 and as I said I never liked multieffect pedals
