The Intech Studio TEK2 Mechanical from the Grid Series 3 is the result of consistent further development and perfection. As part of the modular grid system, the compact control module impresses with improved mechanical switches, optimised Feedback and an even more robust design. It is the ideal partner for musicians, producers, video artists and designers who are looking for maximum flexibility and precision in their workflow.
Mechanical switches with Hall effect for maximum precision
At the heart of the new version are the Gateron Hall-effect switches, which now offer touch and pressure sensitivity. This allows the TEK2 to work dynamically and responsively - whether triggering clips, cutting in the timeline or adjusting effects. The buttons are hot-swappable and can be easily exchanged by removing the front panel. This allows the versatile module to be adapted to individual requirements.
Endless jog wheels and brilliant RGB lighting
Two high-resolution endless jog wheels with smooth movement and integrated pressure function open up a wide range of control options - from scrubbing in video editing software to precise parameter adjustment in audio DAWs. The 5-colour LED rings on the jog wheels provide real-time visual feedback. Each button is also equipped with RGB backlighting, which can be colour-coded using the Grid Editor.
Robust construction and modular expansion
The TEK2 boasts a durable design with a textured fibreglass front panel and injection-moulded housing base. The innovative magnetic connection system allows the module to be seamlessly coupled with other grid controllers in any direction - ideal for individually scalable setups. The function button on the side enables quick page switching, while the USB-C port guarantees a fast and robust connection.
Possible applications
Thanks to its flexibility, the TEK2 Mechanical can be integrated into almost any creative workflow:
Video production: timeline scrubbing, zooming and cutting in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
Image editing: controlling brush sizes, exposure and tools in Photoshop or Lightroom
Audio production: volume, effects and clip triggers in Ableton Live, Logic Pro or other DAWs
Live performance & VJing: preset switching, layer control and live effects
