With the PRS SE Standard 24-08 Translucent Blue Paul Reed Smith sends a practical electric guitar with straightforward design and extensive sound options into the race. Based on the proven set-neck construction with mahogany body and comfortable "Wide Thin" maple neck, the SE Standard 24-08 convinces with first-class playing characteristics, while TCI "S" humbuckers with their own split switches provide eight different tones with a distinct vintage character. Last but not least, a PRS Designed Tremolo and tuning stable die-cast tuners complete the SE Standard 24-08 Translucent Blue electric guitar by PRS.

Traditional construction and high playing comfort

Except for the coveted PRS Birds in the rosewood fingerboard, the SE Standard 24-08 presents itself as a straightforward "no frills" guitar that puts playability and sound in the foreground. While the "Shallow Violin Carve" top of the mahogany body promises a comfortable support for the arm, large Cutaways allow an unhindered access to the high registers. The glued maple neck also convinces with excellent playing characteristics thanks to the flat "Wide Thin" profile, so that classical and modern playing techniques can be implemented with ease.

Via the 3-way switch and two split switches, the TCI "S" pickups of the Standard 24-08 offer eight sound options.

TCI "S" Pickups with Eight Tone Options

Thanks to the two PRS TCI "S" pickups, whose capacitance and inductance are optimally tuned to the guitar's characteristics ("Tuned Capacitance and Inductance"), the SE Standard 24-08 delivers versatile all-round sounds with a distinct vintage character at the guitar amplifier. Via the 3-way switch and separate split switches, a total of eight different circuits of the pickups can be called up, so that no wish remains unfulfilled, from the powerful humbucker sound for juicy distorting riffs and solos to glassy single coil cleans. To adjust the tone, general volume and tone controls are also available.

Indestructible hardware equipment

PRS Guitars also completes the SE Standard 24-08 Translucent Blue with indestructible hardware that can handle long shows and recording sessions with absolute reliability. The PRS Designed tremolo on the body not only impresses with its buttery-smooth handling for shimmering sound embellishments, but also guarantees exact intonation and optimal string position thanks to six individually adjustable tail pieces. On the headstock in the typical PRS Style encapsulated die-cast tuners also ensure an exact and robust tuning even after frequent grips on the tremolo lever.
