The Yamaha Reface CS is an analog modeling synthesizer that combines simple operation, creative sounds and massive dynamics. As an eight-voice polyphonic synthesizer, it has a wide range of exciting sounds from analog brute to digital concise. The analog physical modeling engine of the Reface CS features multiple synthesis and oscillator types. The Reface CS is also a robust mini synthesizer with miniaturized keys and battery operation. It has internal speakers and a clever loop sequencer.

The oscillator types of the Yamaha Reface CS are characterized on the one hand by flexible LFO and ADSR routing, but also by the unique controllers "Texture" and "Mod". Which functions Texture and Mod fulfill depends on the respective oscillator type. The eight-voice polyphony of the Reface CS enables complex chords and pads. In mono mode, rich synth basses or solo leads can also be played.

• MULTI-SAW - Texture: adds a sub-oscillator that is tuned down an octave / Mod: creates a layer of several detuned sawtooth waves, resulting in interesting beats
  
• PULSE - Texture: changes the pitch of the second square wave / Mod: allows you to adjust the pulse width
  
• OSCILLATOR SYNC - Texture: changes the pitch and sound character of the second oscillator / Mod: changes the degree of detuning of oscillator 2
• RING MODOLATION - Texture: influences the pitch of oscillator 1 / Mod: influences the pitch of oscillator 2
  
• FM - Texture: adjusts the degree of modulation / Mod: changes the pitch of the modulating oscillator (OSC2)
