While the set-thru mahogany neck promises excellent playing characteristics up to the highest registers, Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers with two voicings provide for characterful and contemporary metal sounds. A TonePros bridge and tuning stable LTD Locking tuners complete the LTD EC-1000 BaritoneCharcoal Metallic Satin guitar from ESP.
Set-Thru construction with 27" scale length
For the construction of the LTD EC-1000 Baritone ESP relies on the proven set-thru construction with a neck foot that extends far into the body, which not only promises a powerful sound with a long Sustain, but also guarantees a tight representation of every note played due to the extra-long 27" scale length (686 mm) even with the lowest drop tunings. While the singlecut mahogany body features an arched maple top, the three-piece mahogany neck carries a Macassar ebony fingerboard with 24 extra jumbo stainless steel frets. The slim "Thin and neck profile and the 13.75" fingerboard radius also create the best conditions for implementing classic and modern playing techniques.
Fishman Fluence pickups
A Fishman Fluence Modern Alnico humbucker in the neck position and a Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic humbucker at the bridge, whose voicings can be changed via the push/pull switch in the tone control, provide the adequate sound conversion on the LTD EC-1000 Baritone. While the first voicing of both pickups delivers the crisp and tight sound of modern active pickups, Voicing 2 convinces with the organic tones of traditional passive pickups. Besides the 3-way switch for selecting the pickup, ESP also equips the electric guitar with separate volume controls for each humbucker.
TonePros Bridge and Locking Tuner
Last but not least, ESP completes the equipment of the LTD EC-1000 BaritoneCharcoal Metallic Satin with high-quality attachments, which also complete professional applications "on the road" with unshakable reliability. The TonePros LockingTune-O-Matic bridge, which can be locked firmly on the pins, guarantees exact adjustment of intonation and string action even when using deep tunings and thick string sets, while the string guide through the body supports the tight sound character of the baritone guitar. At the headstock, LTD Locking tuners promise not only high tuning stability, but also effortless string changes.
