Flame 's XPAN is an exciting combination of crossfader, panning and CV recorder. The two-part module contains a crossfader in the upper section, which can crossfade two audio signals. The lower section consists of a panning unit that can position an audio signal between the left and right channels. If no cable is plugged into the panning audio input, the crossfader's audio is normalized to it. Both units can also be used separately. Each unit has its own CV Recorder which can record the movement of the dedicated knob for about 120 seconds and play it back as a OneShot or in an endless loop. Alternatively, panning respectively crossfading can be done with a control voltage; a triangle waveform LFO is useful for continuous progressions. The CV recorders can be reset to the beginning. The audio levels to be processed can be switched between Eurorack and line level on the rear panel.
