Acoustic guitar, parlour size, lime body, 610 mm scale length, Nato neck, 42.86 mm nut width, walnut fingerboard, nickel tuners.
With the Gretsch G9500 Jim Dandy Flat Top 2TS guitar, the cult manufacturer Gretsch presents a compact parlour acoustic guitar based on the famous "Rex" models from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. The "Jim Dandy" is equipped with some specifications of these guitars, which not only give it a venerable appearance, but also perfectly embody the spirit of that time. A lime body in combination with an X-bracing produces a powerful sound. Due to the compact design, the sound is strong and defined in the mid frequencies, making the instrument perfect for fingerpicking. Thanks to its short scale length of 610 mm and a nut width of 42.86 mm, the guitar is very easy to play. Despite the short 18-fret NATO neck, which is equipped with a walnut fretboard, there is enough room to master even more extensive fingerings with ease. The simple headstock is equipped with nickel tuners that are open at the back and, like many tuners from earlier times, are equipped with butterbean buttons. The overall appearance of the Gretsch G9500 Jim Dandy Flat Top 2TS is rounded off with a dark 2-color sunburst finish, a white pickguard with G-graphics, filigree bindings and "Jim Dandy" lettering on the headstock.

Gretsch G9500 Jim Dandy Flat Top SB RW Fingerboard 2-Color-SB
It’s definitely one of the best bang-for-your-buck entry-level acoustics that’s a blast to play. This well-built guitar instills some much needed character and variety to the typically stale entry-level acoustic market. Definitely worth every penny!
easily the best bang-for-buck guitar youll find on the market nowadays, especially if youre a fingerpicker looking for some delta blues flavored guitar. Greatest virtue: easy, VERY easy to play ... almost addictive!
I've been eyeing the Jim Dandy for a while since I wanted a specific sound for blues, and this guitar definitely delivered! I knew it would sound great, but the first time I played it, the projection and the darkness of it blew me away. It's very comfortable for finger picking and strumming alike, the neck is a dream to play on. Just overall an amazing guitar that fits my needs to a T.
Great for finger-style, not so great for strumming as the higher registers are a little tinny, but not unexpected in such a small bodied guitar. Generally well set up but would benefit from a change of strings & maybe lower the action a little. I bought it as a travel guitar, so ideal for my practice needs & it didn't break the bank. Also, great service from DV247, couldn't fault them. Cheers guys.
