First class tonewoods in raw finish
For the construction of the Jabba JMM4 Mayones naturally uses first-class tonewoods with a chic look, whose grain and texture remain tangible through the open-pored raw finish. The body is made of light swamp ash wood and has a top of burl poplar with a wenge veneer, while the six-piece neck is made of hard maple wood. Thanks to the sculpted neck foot and the pleasantly flat C-profile, the Bass also offers optimal playing characteristics up to the highest positions of the 24-fret fingerboard.
Aguilar pickups and the Mayones Musashi preamp promise first-class and flexible bass sounds with fine detail.
Aguilar pickups with Musashi preamp
For the electric sound conversion Mayones equips the Jabba JMM4 with high quality pickups from Aguilar. In bridge position, the Aguilar 4M humbucker delivers powerful but precisely articulated sounds with juicy low end, assertive mids and crisp treble spectrum. The hum-free Aguilar 4J-HC Single Coil in middle position, on the other hand, promises classically designed tones with a deep bass foundation, characterful mids and precise representation of the playing dynamics. To optimally adapt the Bass sound, the electric bass guitar also features the active Mayones Musashi 2-band equalizer. Additional sound options are offered by the passive mode, which has its own treble slider to adjust the sound.
The headstock of the Mayones Jabba JMM4 carries lightweight hipshot tuners for precise tuning and reduced neck dive.
High-quality attachments
Last but not least, Mayones equips the Jabba JMM4 Antique Emerald Green Raw Bass with high-quality attachments that promise unshakable reliability of the bass guitar. The bridge is the massive Mayones Big Foot Hardtail. While 20 mm string spacing leaves enough room for clean playing even when the strings are struck hard, individually adjustable tailpieces guarantee optimal adjustment of intonation and string action. Lightweight Hipshot tuners not only prevent unwanted neck dive, but also guarantee accurate and robust tuning of the bass. In addition, Schaller strap holders hold the Jabba Bass securely to the bass strap.
