With the Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 Piezo Trampas Green, the Marylander guitar maker continues the tradition of the model that has been firmly established since the NAMM Show in 1985. Equipped with a solid maple top, PRS 85/15 humbuckers and a piezo system developed together with LR Baggs, this electric guitar sets optical as well as tonal highlights and convinces with flawless workmanship.
For the construction of the PRS Custom 24 Piezo Trampas Green, Paul Reed Smith and his guitar builders only use selected woods, which lead to a perfect sound experience. Mahogany is used for the body, while the vividly drawn maple top is bordered by the natural binding typical of PRS, in which the edges of the top are not stained. The glued mahogany neck with its well-shaped "Pattern Thin" profile offers the perfect balance between rich grip and smooth playability. In addition, traditional bird inlays on the rosewood fingerboard provide the best orientation between the 24 frets.
Two PRS 85/15 humbuckers are used as pickups on the PRS Custom 24 piezo. These pickups were personally developed by Paul Reed Smith and reflect the Marylander guitar maker's 30 years of experience in a contemporary sound. The pickups convince with a remarkably clear sound, which makes every played note shine. With the 5-way blade switch, the humbucker coils can also be called up in different combinations, so that several sound nuances are available in the guitar sound. In addition, the piezo pickup system developed jointly with LR Baggs is available, which can be used to create authentic acoustic guitar sounds.
The equipment of the Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 Charcoal Jade is completed by high-quality hardware from our own company. On the body side, the strings are supported by the proven PRS tremolo, which convinces with smooth handling and high functionality and offers a pleasant support thanks to rounded edges of the hand. At the headstock the strings run with straight tension from the saddle to the PRS Phase III locking mechanisms. These guarantee a high tuning stability even with frequent use of vibrato and make string changes much easier. The PRS Custom 24 is also delivered in a noble PRS case, which offers the electric guitar the best possible protection during transport.
