PRS 58/15 humbucker with eight different sounds
The cornerstone of the PRS Private Stock Custom 24-08 Frostbite Fade #10483's tonal diversity is two PRS 58/15 humbuckers in their respective bass and treble versions. Modelled after highly sought-after PAF humbuckers of the 1950s, the dual coils produce classically warm and vocal alnico tones and provide a total of eight different voicings thanks to additional coil split sounds. In addition to the pure humbucker sounds and the intermediate positions, both pickups can be switched independently to the coil tap mode, and if necessary to create airy clear sounds with single coil character.
The headstock veneer and the truss rod cover also follow the ebony and cloud maple fingerboard motif in a visually fitting manner.
High-quality Private Stock appointments
In addition to the tonal component, naturally, some additional optical finesses are used, which can be admired exclusively on instruments of the Private Stock collection. The headstock of the Private Stock Custom 24-08 Frostbite Fade presents a headstock veneer made of quilted maple and ebony that matches the inlay work of the fretboard, while the truss rod cover, which also follows the basic design, as well as the hardware equipment made of Gen III Tremolo and Phase III locking tuners in a uniform smoked-black look, form a harmonious complement.
