The Chase Bliss Audio Wombtone MKII is a true giant among analog phaser pedals. With up to 6 phaser stages and extensive modulation possibilities, the Wombtone MKII creates every imaginable phaser sound from famous settings in the style of Brian May or Van Halen to experimental pulsating sound landscapes.
The signal portion and overall volume of the phaser sound are determined by volume and mix, while the effect tempo can either be adjusted using the rate button or entered via the Tap switch on the left. 2, 4 or 6 simultaneous phaser stages are available via stage toggle and give the sound of the Wombtone a rather subtle to directly extreme phaser effect, depending on the setting.
The full pontential of the Wombtone MKII proves itself in its talents of modulation and real-time control. With the ModuShape function known from Chase Bliss Audio, the waveform of the LFO can be individually composed of two halves to create previously unheard noises, sounds and tones. Of course, the extensive phaser pedal can also be controlled via expression pedal or MIDI. The front DIP switches determine which effect parameters are assigned to the controller via ramping or exp pedal.
